Hive - Coding agents that don't clock out

by•
Hive is open-source infrastructure that gives every coding agent a persistent runtime — terminal, workspace and context that survive disconnects, reboots and closed laptops.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Hive because coding agents are now good enough to work for hours, but they still live in terminals that last as long as your SSH session or your laptop lid. Hive gives each agent a home that outlives your session: • Start an agent and walk away. Close the terminal, lose Wi-Fi, reboot the machine, and it's still there. After a reboot it resumes the same conversation. • Run many agents side by side. Each gets its own workspace and terminal, and one sidebar shows which are working, blocked or done. • Use several machines from one place. Point Hive at a server over SSH and its agents show up next to your local ones. • Let agents run agents. Everything you can do, an agent can do through the CLI, the API or MCP: start a reviewer, wait for it, read what it wrote. It works with the agents you already use (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, your own). Hive doesn't replace them; it gives them somewhere to live. Today is the first 1.0 release candidate: the APIs are frozen and releases are signed. Install: curl -fsSL | sh It's free and open source (Apache 2.0). I'd love to hear what you'd run on it and what breaks. I'm here all day.
