Great idea! Can we get links to replacement jobs and maybe remote work? Is there a way to show open positions or available remote work along side so we can compare? Also a breakdown by industry would be insightful
this includes our hiring guide and shows which companies are hiring. Industry breakdown is something we would love but the BLS doesn't provide that weekly. We need to find a good reliable source for that data.
Great idea!
Unemployment programs vary so much by state. This is super helpful!
Thanks for recognizing our effort to help in even a small way to make that process smoother.
Super helpful !
Very helpful in this difficult to navigate landscape. Thank you Hire Club!!!
Jason thanks for your support. If you've heard of any folks who have had difficulties in navigating the unemployment application process, we'd love their feedback.
Hi everyone. First of all, thanks so much for your support. When I first learned a couple of weeks ago that was starting work on this project, I immediately jumped on it to help with the developing new reality of people being unemployed as a result of Covid. I have unfortunately had to let people go as a company founder. I thought that working on this would be a show of empathy toward those on the other side of the table. I’ve had to guide former team members first hand on how to apply for unemployment. I wanted to really help anyone in that position. I also wanted to help Ketan and his team build a striking visualization of the problem at the state and country level, to show the wide-reaching impact as effectively as possible. Ketan and I have worked together in the past, and I knew that we would do our best again. Tremendous thanks to the rest of the team that worked tirelessly on this, namely for the beautiful design, to for the data sourcing, guidance, and testing, and to everyone else who was involved. We couldn’t have done it without you. By the way, if you want to check out the code for the map that we built with d3, give us a holler.
Such a great resource for job seekers.
Thanks for your support. Have you seen or know any folks who have had trouble navigating the unemployment application processes in various states?
Perfect!
Great resource!
This is a great idea and a very productive way to address a crisis!
Thanks so much for your support. Knowing your expertise in the world of news, do you know of a way to get this out wider?
