Does "merchant operating system" make sense for small businesses?
by•
Helm launches today, and I’m pressure-testing the category language before more people see it.
The thesis is simple: small businesses should not have to stitch together a website builder, booking link, spreadsheet CRM, invoice app, store tool, and chat follow-up just to run one customer journey.
I’m calling Helm a merchant operating system because it connects the public website, booking or enquiry flow, customer record, invoices, orders, follow-up, and daily priorities in one dashboard.
Blunt feedback welcome: does “merchant operating system” make the idea clearer, or would you understand it faster as “website + bookings + customer records + invoices in one dashboard”?
