When I started researching the U.S. market, I discovered another problem. Many contractors still find customers through Facebook groups or pay expensive lead-generation platforms that charge for every lead—even if that lead never turns into a job. It felt like both sides were losing. Homeowners struggle to find trustworthy professionals, while contractors spend too much time and money chasing work instead of doing it. So I started building Handy. Today, Handy helps homeowners find local professionals and helps contractors generate AI-powered estimates, create proposals, and manage their business—all in one place. But this is just the beginning. My long-term vision is to build a trusted network of verified contractors. My background is in fintech, where compliance, identity verification, and trust are fundamental. I believe those same principles can make hiring home service professionals much safer and more transparent.
