Have you ever forgotten your passwords? How often do you reuse them to remember them better? How hard would it be to memorize unique ones for every account you own? Meet the Guardian, a password manager that lives entirely in your pocket (away from the cloud)!

My name is Nuno Mota, and I am the solo Founder of Missing Link. We are a small startup with the hefty goal of making the internet more private (one device at a time), and the Guardian will be our first official product. 🚀 As of now, we have a functional prototype of the device, and we will release a short demo alongside our upcoming crowdfunding campaign. It generates unique passwords for your every account, automatically handles your logins, and will work out-of-the-box with most devices (i.e., iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows, Linux). Importantly, no Software installation is required, and it remains completely offline until you tell it to log you into an account. 🔑 I started developing the Guardian about a year ago, in my spare time, because I felt quite uncomfortable with all my credentials being stored on "the cloud". I still wanted to have unique logins for all my accounts, but my memory isn't good enough to memorize 87 of these... And I am probably already forgetting a few. So I decided to create something secure, and practical to use. We are developing Software integrations to make the login process faster, much like a Software password manager, but it's still up to you when the Guardian goes offline. In the near future, the Guardian will also support two-factor authentication (via NFC and TOTP) and other sets of more secure protocols (like FIDO/FIDO2). 😁
