I spent about $322,000 of API credits on this, then made it free. Launching here Sunday.

122 days. 547 commits. 160,000 lines of Swift. One native macOS app.

About $322,000 of Claude at API rates went into building it. That is the API-rate valuation of measured usage rather than cash I wired anywhere, and I would rather say it that way than round it up.

Then I made it MIT. No account, no server, no telemetry, nothing to buy. It runs on your own API key, or entirely on a local model with no key at all.

What it actually does: opens real terminal sessions and can undo anything it did, because every command is snapshotted into a shadow git repo first. Runs swarms of agents in parallel. Scaffolds and builds iOS apps. Sits in on meetings and transcribes them on device. Writes its own next version and asks me to approve the install.

It goes live here on Sunday 30 August at 12:01 AM PT. Following the page is how you find out when it does.

I still go back and forth on whether giving it away was smart. If you had spent that, would you have charged for it?
