Why I'm using my infra-monitoring tool to stay safe in the backcountry 🏕️

Since launching GrooveKit, I've been obsessed with "silent failures" - the jobs that don't run and the APIs that go dark without anyone noticing. But as a solo founder and backpacker, I realized I was more worried about my own "uptime" when I was off-grid. If something goes wrong on the trail, a text message to a friend is a single point of failure.

So, I built Adventure Heartbeats.

Stop tailing logs: What’s the most difficult "silent failure" for you to catch?

Still tailing logs to find out why something broke? Same here - until recently.

As a solo dev, I've been obsessed with silent failures lately. The status page is green, but the actual data is broken. I've been building groovekit.io to automate the detective work so I don't have to grep through production logs every time a user reports a weird bug.

Solo Founders: What's the one thing that keeps you up at night?

I'm currently 4 days out from my first big launch, and I've spent the morning triple-checking everything.

As an individual contributor, I find that silent failures are the biggest stressor - the things that break without an alert or a ping.

GrooveKit - Catch the silent failures that pings miss

While traditional monitors check if your server is up, GrooveKit validates that your business logic is actually working. Track cron jobs, validate JSON schemas, and monitor critical DNS records - all from one UI or CLI. Built for solo founders who need to ship with confidence and sleep without alerts.
