Hi Product Hunt, I built Grongy AI. Most AI writing tools hit the same wall when you point them at a thesis. They give you a fluent paragraph with a citation attached, and the citation is either invented or bolted onto a paper that says something narrower than your sentence claims. You find out at the worst possible moment, which is usually after your supervisor has read it. Grongy runs the other way round. You search 250 million scholarly records through OpenAlex, Crossref, PubMed, arXiv, DOAJ and Unpaywall, and save the ones you actually want. You build a chapter outline. Then it drafts section by section from that library, and every citation points to a record you can open. If nothing in your library supports a sentence, the sentence stays uncited instead of picking up a made up reference. There's a citation checker that compares the wording of a claim against the paper behind it. If the paper supports "in the language pairs we tested" and your sentence says "across all low-resource languages", it flags the gap. A few other things: a thesis memory that keeps your terms and open questions linked across chapters so chapter 5 doesn't contradict chapter 2, a PDF reader with page-level notes, BibTeX and RIS import from Zotero and Mendeley, and export to Word, PDF, LaTeX and Markdown.
