Hey Product Hunt! I'm Andrew, a solo developer, and Tablekin is the meal planner I built for my own household.
My partner and I kept running into the same problem: meal plans that looked great on Sunday and fell apart by Tuesday, with the grocery list living in three different places. So I built one shared place for the household's recipes, weekly meal plan, and grocery list, on everyone's phone.
A few things I cared about:
• One grocery list on every phone, and it works offline (grocery stores have terrible signal)
• Turn the week's meals into a grocery list in one tap, minus the staples you already have
• A fridge timeline that tells you what to eat first, based on FoodSafety.gov storage times
• Allergies flagged for whoever's eating that night, including kids without an account
• Your own recipes, imported from a link or a screenshot
Tablekin can also work with Claude. Connect it and Claude can read your family's shared calendar and plan meals around it: something quick on practice nights, a slow-cooker start on long days, dinner for two when someone's away. Every change Claude makes shows up in its own color with an undo button. You don't need Claude to use Tablekin; it just makes weekly planning a lot easier.
It's live on iPhone and Android, and a household can mix both: everyone shares the same plan and list, whatever phone they carry. The free tier includes the shared list, the planner, the fridge timeline, and up to 25 recipes.
Feedback that would help most:
1. If you use Claude, does planning around your calendar match how your week actually works?
2. What's the first thing you'd want that isn't there?
3. Anything confusing in the first five minutes?
I'll be here all day answering questions. Thanks for checking it out!
