Golden Terminal SSH - Give your AI hands on real computers. Close to disconnect.

by•
Already use Codex or Claude Code? Great. Keep it. Now fix your mom’s PC, troubleshoot an office computer, or reach a server using tools already on your machine. Golden Terminal gives your MCP-compatible AI hands through a temporary terminal session on Windows or macOS, using the local user's permissions. Open it when you need help; close it to disconnect. No permanent agent required. Built for AI enthusiasts tackling expert-level tasks and IT pros who'd rather stop copying commands.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Dmitry, the maker of Golden Terminal. I’m a marketer and entrepreneur who builds things with AI. I wanted my AI assistant to work with my actual computer, not just tell me which commands to copy and paste. And I wanted to stay in the AI chat I already use. That’s why I built Golden Terminal: hands for your AI. Golden connects compatible AI assistants to your computer or server through MCP. From the same conversation, your AI can run terminal commands, inspect logs, work with files, and use tools installed on the connected machine. You can ask things like: “Find out why this service stopped,” “Help me organize these files,” or “Check what’s happening on my server.” The assistant can inspect the machine and act on what it finds, rather than rely on whatever you remembered to paste into the chat. Golden isn’t another AI model or a replacement chat app. It’s a connection between the AI you already work with and the hardware you choose to connect. I’m building it for enthusiasts like me, as well as people who work with servers every day. My goal is to make useful automation accessible without turning every task into a manual terminal session. I’d love your feedback on the idea and the experience. What’s the first task you’d want your AI to handle on your own computer?
