GNST - Review your socials before Border Patrol does it for you!

by
Ever wondered what a border agent, employer, or journalist might find in your social media history? GonnaeNoSayThat analyzes your own data exports (Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and more) and highlights posts that could cause problems. Privacy-first: no scraping, no logins, and your data is deleted after analysis.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m a solo founder from Scotland. The idea for GonnaeNoSayThat came after Scotland qualified for the World Cup and Reddit immediately filled with posts like: “Uh oh… what about my social media history?” Deleting years of posts across multiple platforms is a huge job, and it’s hard to know what might actually raise eyebrows when travelling or applying for visas. So I built a tool that analyzes your own social media data exports and highlights posts that might deserve a second look. Privacy was a big design goal: • no scraping • no account access • uploads are temporary and deleted after processing And the name? I’m Scottish. There’s a famous catchphrase from an old TV comedy: “Gonnae no dae that?” — basically “maybe… don’t say that.” When it comes to social media and international travel, the question becomes: Gonnae No Say That?

Really smart idea. The privacy first approach with local analysis is reassuring. Does Reddit support work well?

@daniel_rachlin Hi.

Thank you for the feedback!

r/scotland seemed to be interested, and I had a couple of tyre kickers. I'll be trying them again this evening. I'm also going to put it on LinkedIn again, having strengthened the privacy piece following earlier feedback.

Please share! It really would be awful for a family, say, to spend their first day in the USA speaking to ICE at the airport!
