GitHunt - A scrollable discovery feed for open-source GitHub repos

GitHub's own search makes it hard to just browse for interesting projects search misses obvious matches, trending pages are noisy, and there's no real "scroll and discover" feed like you get here on Product Hunt. GitHunt is a minimal, feed for discovering open-source repos. Clean cards pulled straight from GitHub stars, forks, language, README previews browsable like a normal feed instead of search-and-guess. Built solo, end to end, as my first full project. Still fixing bugs, feedback welcome!

πŸ‘‹ Iam Aadin, I built GitHunt because I kept wanting a "just scroll and find something cool" way to browse GitHub, the way I browse Product Hunt or Twitter and that experience just doesn't really exist on GitHub itself. This is my first solo project built completely end to end (auth, database, deployment, all of it), so I'd genuinely love to hear: What's confusing in the first 30 seconds of using it? What would make you actually come back to browse again? Anything broken I'm actively fixing bugs as they come up. Thanks for checking it out πŸ™

Congrats on the launch. One thing that would help a lot: let me save repos to a personal list from the feed so I can come back and star them later instead of losing them in the scroll.

Congrats on shipping this, the clean card layout with README previews looks really nice for casual browsing. One thing that would help me a lot: add a simple way to filter by primary language right at the top of the feed, maybe a small row of chips like Python, Rust, Go. Right now I still have to guess or scroll to find repos in the stack I actually want to dig into, and a one-click filter would make the whole discovery loop feel way more focused.
