I built ledgerly and it was to solve my own problem

Hear me out now

It's been over two years since I started tracking my finances (mainly my income) and most recently my expenses and occasionally check my net worth. I have an extremely organized spreadsheet on Google Sheets and I have been logging every cent I earn monthly through full-time jobs and the part-time/contractual gigs I work on throughout the years.

As much as I try to be organized and clean about my finances, there are challenges I face while trying to be accurate about every entry and analysis. For instance, logging with one type of currency won't be an easy translation to another when you juggle working for local and international companies at the same time.

ledgerly is a net-worth-centered personal expense/finance tracking app that lets you log your tangible assets’ worth, receivables (yes, I know what that means), and the amount you have in customized wallets (bank accounts, crypto wallets, and cards). Not only that, for a better net worth calculation you can log your liabilities (student loans or other expected expenses).

Expenses, incomes, and general transactions including transfers (from wallet to other) are a central part of ledgerly that make your life easier when they appear on the dashboard you have on the home screen.

Investments are taken care of by ledgerly as well. You can enter your stock and crypto assets (crypto price being checked in real-time for a smart P/L insight).

Budgets and goals are the next big features that make you proactive in your financial life and live intentionally, shop intentionally, and earn and invest intentionally.

Another big thing is that ledgerly is a fully on-device and privacy-focused app and it doesn't let anyone (including me) sneak in your tax evasion strategies (lol). Speaking of big things, did I tell you ledgerly is open source under the MIT license or did I just assume you won't be interested in contributing to the next features and bug fixes?
