I sucked at gifting, so I spent 3 years and $200k building this.
I cared a lot and still somehow bought the wrong gift.
It was not because I did not know the person. I knew their favorite colors, the things they saved, the brands they loved, the stories they told me, and the dates that mattered.
The problem was that none of that context followed me into shopping. Every search box asked me to name a product before I knew what product I was looking for.
So I built Gimmie.
Gimmie starts with the person. Two colors can unlock a personality archetype. A few interests, values, saved posts, and important dates become a private profile that helps personalize gifts and shopping recommendations.
The goal was never to automate thoughtfulness.
It was to give good intentions a better memory, better context, and somewhere useful to go.
I built the gifting tool I needed.
What part of gifting do you struggle with most: remembering, deciding, finding something personal, or knowing whether they will actually love it?
