GetAskAI goes live on Product Hunt this Tuesday, so I wanted to open a thread before launch day.

The short version: it's a free AI chat that works like a search engine. You open getaskai.com, type your question, and get an answer. No account, no app, no credit card. It searches the web in real time and cites its sources, reads PDFs and images, and answers in any language.

Two things I want to be upfront about, because they always come up:

1. "Unlimited" means you won't hit message caps, waiting times or a paywall in everyday use. There is a generous fair-use limit set well above normal daily use, and its only job is stopping bots and automated abuse. Humans don't feel it.

2. "How is it free?" The service is supported by discreet advertising. Your data is not for sale: the business model is ads, not data. There is no account, so there is no profile to build in the first place. Chats are kept only in anonymized form to improve the service, and uploaded files are never stored.

Under the hood it runs multiple large language models on its own infrastructure and picks the model best suited to each question, so it's not tied to a single company's model.
