Would You Use AI Video to Prototype a Campaign Before Shooting It?
AI video is becoming good enough that I’m starting to think its most interesting use case may not be replacing traditional production.
It may be prototyping it.
I recently created a short fashion/editorial concept with Seedance 2.5.

The sequence explores different styling directions, compositions, and campaign-like visuals while trying to maintain one overall creative identity.
What made me think was how quickly something like this could be used to test an idea before a full production begins.
A creative or marketing team could potentially use AI video to explore different visual directions, styling options, campaign concepts, social variations, or rough creative treatments.
Instead of discussing an idea only through mood boards and static references, the team could see a short version of the concept in motion.
There are still clear limitations.
Character consistency can drift, professional brand work often requires more precise control, and products or identities that need exact representation are much less forgiving.
But for early-stage creative exploration, I can already see a practical use case.
The interesting question for me is therefore not:
“Will AI replace video production?”
It is:
“Will AI become the fastest way to test an idea before production begins?”
For founders, makers, and marketers here:
Would you use AI video to prototype a campaign before spending money on a real shoot?
If not, what would stop you — quality, consistency, control, cost, or trust?
