What rules do you use to avoid tweaking features that users are already happy with?

It’s so easy to fall into the habit of constantly changing things on your site just because you looked at a competitor or got bored of your own UI.
I used to jump straight into the code every time a flow felt slightly imperfect to me.
I slowly realized I was wasting tons of hours solving non existent issues instead of focusing on actual user pain points.
What filter or rule helps you pause and decide if a problem actually impacts real users before you start changing it?

i try not to change things when users are already happy with them. not every small problem needs fixing
i usually check what users are saying first. if nobodyy has a issue with it then I leave it alone.
sometimes I wait a few days before changing something. what feels like a big problem today may not matter later.
i'd ask how many users are actually having the problem. if it only a few people then it may not be worth changing
