The most confident person in standup usually sets the "truth." That's a problem.

On every team I've been on, the real status of a project doesn't live in the tool — it lives in whoever describes it most confidently in standup. Tickets and PRs tell you what moved, not whether the thing is going to land. So the weekly "are we on track?" answer gets shaped by who's most persuasive that morning, not who's most accurate!

I've been burned by this a project that looked green right up until it slipped, because the confident read drowned out the quieter person who saw the risk coming.
