Our experience using a Bangladesh sourcing partner for apparel production
Over the past year, we've worked with a small apparel sourcing company based in Bangladesh called Dressource for several custom garment orders.
I wanted to share our experience because I couldn't find many independent discussions before we started working with them.
What went well:
Communication was generally fast through WhatsApp and email.
They were able to source factories based on our product requirements instead of pushing a single factory.
Sampling quality was good, and revisions were handled without much hassle.
Production updates were shared regularly with photos and videos.
Factory compliance and quality inspections were explained clearly.
They were willing to work with relatively small order quantities, which helped during product testing.
Challenges:
Like most overseas manufacturing, production timelines depended on fabric availability.
International shipping times varied depending on the destination.
Some trims required additional lead time because they had to be custom-made.
Overall, the experience was positive, especially if you're looking for a sourcing partner rather than dealing directly with multiple factories.
I'm curious if anyone else here has worked with Dressource or with other Bangladesh sourcing companies.
What was your experience like?
