local testing for multi-agent loops - what do you use?

by•

building a local multi-agent setup right now and keep hitting state synchronization issues between steps. tried a few simple python async loops but it gets messy fast.

curious what other developers here use for testing agent loops locally without hammering external APIs every time?

I suggest starting a local Redis container rather than managing the state directly in raw memory. Moving those variables out of your Python loops into a local storage often removes complicated synchronization blocks immediately.

Nice take! I use tiny scripted fixtures for the handoffs and only let agents touch real services at the very end, otherwise the test loop turns into another API bill 😅 What state keeps drifting for you?
