I want to make small promo videos with product UI in them. A few simple effects here and there. Figma is so easy to use and I wish that easy existed for video editing.

I think Jitter is exactly what you need, it's dedicated mostly for UI animations with Figma like interface that can be very easy to use. Personally trying to use it whenever I have some free time in hand.

Jitter looks really cool, but I think I want a desktop app so I don't have to deal with issues uploading files. I don't need collaboration.
I was thinking about the same some time ago… though found nothing and used a canva video editor to move the layers. It was not am easy task, so not recommend.
So I'd like to hear other responses, thank you for this topic!
This may sound a little wild to you, but I have used Rive and DaVinci Resolve for a product teaser. It worked for me.
