I got my first thread approved after 4 rejections. Here's what actually changed.

I had four threads rejected before one finally went through. I was frustrated because I couldn't tell what I was doing wrong.

Looking back, the pattern is obvious. The rejected ones were all trying to be something. "10 lessons I learned."

"Here's my framework for X." They read like content. They were polished. They had a point to make.

The one that got approved? It was just a question I actually had. No point. No lesson. Just something I was genuinely stuck on and wanted input on.

I found a comment from someone else who'd been through the same thing. They said their rejected threads "read like promotion in some way, or had a product mention in the body. The one that worked was a plain question other people could answer from their own experience, with nothing about my product in it" .

That matched my experience exactly. The approved thread didn't try to sound smart. It didn't try to teach anything. It just asked.

I also spent a few weeks commenting on other people's posts before trying again. Not generic stuff. Actual replies where I had something to say. I don't know if that mattered mechanically, but it changed how I approached posting. Less performance. More conversation.
