How much user feedback is enough before launching a new feature?

I'm curious how other founders decide when a feature is ready for release.

Do you rely on feedback from a small group of beta users, or do you wait until you have a larger sample size before making the feature public?

I've seen cases where launching early helps gather valuable insights, but I've also seen users become frustrated when a feature still has rough edges.

For those who have launched products on Product Hunt or other platforms, what has worked best for you? Do you use surveys, analytics, customer interviews, or another method to validate new features before launch?
