How do you promote your products? And what methods have actually helped your product get noticed?
I have tried several ways to promote my product, but distribution has been much hareder than building it.
product hunt is the only channel where I've found meaningful visibility so far. Reddit has been difficult because self promotional posts are often removed, and I don't want to spam communities where the product isn't genuinely relevant.
I've also made a few youtube videos. They brought some traffic and feedback, but not enough to become a reliable grouth channel.
At this point, I'm trying to decide what to test next. Has X work for early stage products when you don't already have a large following? Or have you had better results with communities, partnerships,SEO, direct outreach, or another channel?
I'd especially appreciate real examples of what worked during your first few months and how long it takes before you started seeing result.

I have the exact same struggle! I’ve followed this thread because I'm eager to hear what experienced folks have to say. Sorry I don't have any good insights to share myself.

If Product Hunt worked, you can try similar websites like Peerlist and Uneed: https://www.tetriz.io/blog/top-4-alternatives-to-product-hunt/
@fabian_maume, but some of those websites require us to pay for lunching products. I would rather than paying ins or a TikTok promotion.

@wei_xing Peerlist and micro-launch are free.
We've found that consistency beats going viral. Product Hunt helps with the initial visibility, but long-term growth has come from SEO, publishing industry insights, and engaging in conversations where our audience already spends time. That's been our approach while growing products like Vitrina AI and VIQI AI. Every useful interaction compounds over time.
@rutuja_kokate, we did SEO, but our website is kind of like a product design website, so every time people were searching for products, our website SEO page must be behind some online store or YouTube channels.
