How do you decide which business gets your attention today, when all of them are yelling at once?
Some mornings every business I run seems to need me at the same time, a slow-paying client in one, a staffing gap in another, a decision that cannot wait in the third. For a long time I just answered whichever one reached me first, which usually meant the loudest problem won, not the most important one.
Lately I've been trying to ask a different question before I touch anything: which one of these actually loses real money or a real relationship if I wait until tomorrow. Most mornings the honest answer is only one of them. The rest can hold, even though they don't feel like they can in the moment.
Curious how other people running more than one thing at once actually decide what gets today, and what happens to everything else while you're ignoring it. Do you have a rule, a gut check, or does it just come down to whoever shouts loudest that morning?
