Everyone is very worried and I get it, but genuinely. But...what do you mean I design a website and then I just build it myself?!! Without knowing code.
This to me has opened a whole new world of possibilities..
Me two years ago, would design it, hand it over and wait, and then get back something that was 75% right and 100% not worth arguing about.
I have more time to actually design now, not less. See, all the stuff around it that used to eat my afternoons, writing the copy variants, resizing everything, the boring small admin things, thats gone. So I can sit with one screen for two hours and make it good. In a startup that never used to be allowed.
Anyone else feeling this or am I the only optimist left :/

100% this. The shift from “handing off static frames and praying” to actually shipping the product yourself is unreal.
That 75% handoff tax used to kill so much design momentum. Removing that friction doesn’t diminish the craft. It gives designers more control over the tiny details that usually got sacrificed to deadlines.
Definitely not the only optimist left. Feels like we’re finally getting back to being builders, not just handing things off.
What stack or builder finally made that gap disappear for you?
@faysal_fateh Slightly embarrassing answer: Adobe. I've been using it so long my hands just know where everything is, so it's still the fastest way for me to think. Then Claude does the actual shipping. Old tool, new tool, no in-between. How about you?
@emma_lagast Nothing embarrassing about what actually works! That "design in Adobe, ship with Claude" combo is lowkey a power stack. Right now I'm mostly using Cursor/v0 to bridge the gap, but the AI handoff is definitely where the magic is happening.
