Has your product ever helped someone close to you?

Most of the time the people we build for are abstract. Personas, segments, “users.”
This week I set my mom up with something my team built and she caught domething she would have missed otherwise. Small thing. But watching someone you look up to get real value from your work hits different than a dashboard.
I’d forgotten that’s the point.
Curious if others have had this. Family, friends, a neighbour. What did it feel like, and did it change how you think about the work?

Haven't had this experience before yet, as the products iv build were mostly quite specific and were not really people close to me that could make use of it.
But I bet it must be very fulfilling, hope to be able to do that once day tho.
@wannes_d And have you ever spoken to the people using the product your building? Even if you're not close to them, could give that same fulfilling feeling if you know you helped someone!
YES! In fact, our neighborhood is using our product to build a neighborhood trick-or-treat schedule for halloween.
It feels so incredible to be able to offer them something they feel so proud to build. We're also helping local small businesses share holiday craft festivals to increase awareness and attendance. Being able to help people who don't typically lean on technology feels so rewarding: https://agendahero.com/page/nhcraftfairs2026. Thanks for asking this question @emma_lagast
