First time running Meta ads. I keep second-guessing everything

I’m making the video & static creatives myself and figuring out Ads Manager as I go. It’s working, sort of, but I have no reference for what good looks like yet.

If you’ve done this before: what did you get wrong in the first month that you’d tell someone to just not do?
