Does anyone else miss when Product Hunt felt less repetitive?

Browsing Product Hunt over the last few years, it feels like the variety has completely shrunk. It used to be normal to run into strange browser extensions, niche hardware projects, or random little tools built to fix super specific problems. Nowadays, almost every page is packed with productivity apps and similar tech wrappers.

I am not saying those tools are useless, but I definitely miss the random surprises. I miss seeing weird projects that made you click just out of pure curiosity to figure out why someone made them.

Is this just a natural side effect of current software trends, or have you noticed the homepage feeling a bit copy-paste lately too?
