Do lifetime deal buyers usually drain way more support than regular subscribers?

by•

Ran a lifetime campaign a while back to get some initial cash and early testers.

It definitely helped with quick revenue but now those one time buyers take up almost all our daily support energy.

It feels like we spend way too much time fixing issues for non-paying users instead of focusing on building proper recurring revenue.

For those who ran LTDs early on did the upfront cash make up for the support headache down the road?

that support cost can really change the math. upfront revenue looks good until you see how much time keeps going into those users.

An LTD gets paid for once, and the support cost keeps coming every month, so the math always looks best in month one. I'd check whether most of the load comes from a small handful of users, because it usually does. A community space where LTD buyers answer each other's repeat questions can also take real weight off the team. Some of those early buyers turn into your loudest advocates, so it's worth sorting them before writing the whole group off.
