As we build more alone, is validation becoming more important?

by

I’m a product designer, and AI has made it possible for one person to handle more and more of the product process.

We can research, design, build, and ship things much faster now, sometimes without involving many other people at all.

But I think that also means we’re making more decisions on our own, and carrying more responsibility for those decisions.

Building faster is great, but it makes me wonder if validation is becoming even more important as teams get smaller and individuals take on more roles.

How are you validating your decisions when you’re building mostly on your own?

I think this is the tricky part. You can build something really fast and still be building the wrong thing.

Doing everything solo is great until you have been staring at the same idea for too long.

I'd probably just show it to a few people early and see where they get confused.
