Hi Product Hunt! I'm Roberto Lamedica, CEO of LUMEX — an AI-first company where I'm the only human. FridgeChef was built in 3 weeks by me + AI agents (ARIA/Manus, GPT-4o, Claude). Real numbers: 12,000+ users, 4.8/5 rating, <€0.01 per recipe, CAC €17. The problem: 1/3 of all food bought at home is thrown away. FridgeChef fixes this by generating recipes from what you already have — prioritizing expiring ingredients first. The expiry-first approach is genuinely smart, and I've been wanting something like this. One thing that would make it way more useful for me: a "what can I make in the next 10 minutes" mode for weeknights when I just need dinner on the table fast, filtering recipes by total time including prep. Right now I'm guessing how long things take from the recipe itself.

That's exactly the kind of feature that makes FridgeChef genuinely useful on a weeknight — not just "here's a recipe" but "here's what you can actually pull off right now." A quick-cook filter with total time including prep is on our roadmap. We'll make sure it's front and center, not buried in settings. Thanks for the push, Atakan — this is the kind of feedback that shapes what we build next. 🙏

Honestly pretty slick, snapped a pic of some half wilting spinach and sad chicken thighs and got a solid recipe back in like 8 seconds. Kinda impressed it actually prioritized the stuff that was about to go bad.

Half-wilting spinach and sad chicken thighs — that's basically the FridgeChef origin story 😄 Really glad it delivered something solid in 8 seconds and actually prioritized the stuff about to go bad. That expiry-first logic is the core of what we built, so it means a lot to hear it working exactly as intended. Thanks for trying it and sharing this, Cansu! 🥬🍗

would love to see a way to filter out ingredients I can't eat, like nuts or shellfish, so the recipes match my allergies without me having to keep telling the app every time.

Persistent allergy filters are coming — you set them once in your profile and FridgeChef remembers them forever, no need to repeat yourself every session. Nuts, shellfish, gluten, dairy — whatever your restrictions are, the AI will exclude them automatically from every recipe it generates. It's one of our most requested features and we're actively working on it. Thanks for flagging it, Sinan! 🙌
