One character, two performances: checking speech versus singing
I'm on the FreeLipSync team. Our Cartoon Lip Sync page now shows two examples using the same character image: one spoken line and one singing clip. Keeping the image fixed makes it easier to focus on what changes with the audio.
For speech, listen for word timing and check whether the mouth settles naturally during pauses. For singing, pay particular attention to sustained vowels, the transition between notes, and whether the mouth stays active through a held syllable. These are review points, not a promise that every input will work equally well.
To compare your own results, use an original or licensed character with a clear, unobstructed face. Upload a short spoken recording, preview the result, then try a short singing excerpt you have permission to use. Change one input at a time so you can tell what helped.
The attached image is the source/cover from our website tutorial, not a video preview. The actual speech and singing examples, their source audio, and the tool are here: https://freelipsync.com/tools/cartoon-lip-sync
For your character projects, is spoken dialogue or singing harder to get right—and which detail makes you reject a result?
