What if you could leave a secret message anywhere and a stranger finds it walking by? That's FoxTrail. Every photo is shot live (gallery blocked), every location is GPS-verified (spoofing detected), every device is fingerprinted (no fake accounts), and content is filtered in 16 languages. Write anonymously at real places. Discover nearby messages. Chat without names. After 50 messages, both choose to reveal or stay anonymous forever. No bots. No fakes. Just honest words at real locations.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Gokhan — a solo indie developer from Turkey, and this is my very first launch. I studied Art History in college but never found a job in the field. Ironic, right? Because it was art on a wall that started all of this. **The spark:** I was walking past a centuries-old Ottoman building in my city when I noticed fresh spray paint graffiti across its stone wall. As someone who spent years studying how civilizations express themselves through art and architecture, it genuinely hurt. People have always wanted to write on walls — that urge is ancient. I can't stop anyone from grabbing a spray can, but I thought: what if I could give them a digital wall instead? **But it's more than walls:** We've all been there. You see someone at a cafe, on the bus, at the park — and you just can't walk up to them. FoxTrail lets you write something at that exact spot. It can be just text — a few words, a confession, a poem. Or you can snap a live photo to capture the moment. If you direct your message to someone, they can message you privately. You chat anonymously, and after 50 messages, you can both choose to reveal who you are — or stay anonymous forever. No forced reveals. No pressure. Connection happens naturally, or it doesn't. **Why "no fakes" became my obsession:** Every anonymous app I tried turned into a bot playground within weeks. Fake photos from camera rolls, spoofed locations, throwaway accounts. I wanted to build the one where that's literally impossible: - Gallery uploads? Blocked. Camera shutter only — and photos are optional, not required. - Fake locations? GPS-verified. Spoofing detected. - Ban evasion? Device fingerprinted. Pay all you want, you're still banned. - Toxic content? Filtered in 16 languages before posting. - False reports? Moderators review every case. Real problems = instant ban. Abuse the report system = you get penalized. **Keeping it clean:** I didn't want the map to turn into a junkyard of old messages either. So every write has a timer — 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, or 24 hours. When time's up, it disappears. If you want a message to stick around longer, that's a premium feature. This way the map always feels fresh and alive, not cluttered with abandoned posts from months ago. **The honest part:** If you're a developer who builds alone, you probably know this already — you slowly drift away from friends. Every free moment between work and family, you're at the keyboard. Your head is always somewhere in the code. So no, I don't have 20 testers lined up. If you want to help test the Android version, just drop your email. **The visual style:** I love vintage cartoon art — old-school illustrated characters with warm, hand-drawn vibes. That's why FoxTrail looks the way it does. It's not a design trend. It's just what I love. This is my first Product Hunt launch and I'm learning everything as I go. I'd love your honest feedback — what would make you use this daily? What am I missing? And most importantly: what would YOU write on a wall if no one knew it was you? 🦊
