FormLab is an electronic lab notebook for formulation R&D: formulas, batches, samples, test results, DOE and analysis in one place. The free tier needs no account and no install, it runs entirely in your browser. Pro adds cloud sync and shared workspaces.

I spent fifteen years in the chemical industry watching very good chemists run serious R&D out of a spreadsheet. Not because they wanted to. The "real" tools cost five figures a seat, take months to roll out, and are bought by procurement rather than by the person at the bench. So large companies upgrade and everyone else stays in Excel, tracking formulas, batches and test results across files that only one person fully understands. FormLab is the opposite of that. It runs in your browser, the free tier needs no account, and you can be entering a formula about five seconds after clicking. Your data stays in your browser unless you choose Pro, which adds cloud sync and shared workspaces. I left my job to build this full time, so I would genuinely rather have your honest criticism than an upvote. Two things I would especially like to know: If you formulate anything, does the first screen make sense without instructions? If you do not, is it obvious within ten seconds what this even is? Happy to answer anything about how it works underneath.
