Hi PH! 👋 I’m Leochens, the maker behind FloatMemo. To be honest, I built this because I was tired of losing my train of thought. Every time I had to switch screens just to jot down a note while watching a tutorial or coding, my focus would break. I just wanted a simple notebook that stayed "always at hand" without forcing me to leave my current screen. That’s exactly what this is—a tool designed to protect your flow. You can summon the floating window anywhere (even over full-screen apps), finish your note, and hit ESC to make it vanish instantly. I realized that capturing ideas and pasting code are really two sides of the same coin, so I combined a Clipboard History manager with Quick Notes to minimize distractions. Unlike the limits in Raycast's free tier, this supports image insertion, unlimited notes, and stores everything locally on your Mac for total privacy. I think this will be super helpful for students, indie devs, or anyone with a "jumpy mind" like mine (ADHD team represent!).
