What we heard, over and over: the moment Flare clicks is when you hear your Orb talk back to you about your social life. So this week we rebuilt onboarding to put that moment first. Meet your Orb, then sign up. Not the other way around.
The conversational layer also got a real upgrade. The Orb interrupts, pauses, comes back. Less voice assistant. More of a friend who's actually listening.

I love seeing teams actually listen to users this fast. Rebuilding onboarding around the “Orb moment” feels like the right call already.
I’ve seen a lot of AI social products lately but the way you describe the Orb interrupting, pausing and returning actually feels human instead of scripted.
Congrats on the YC launch momentum .Feels like you're focusing on the right thing: making the interaction feel genuinely human instead of overly polished or robotic.
Less voice assistant .More of a friend who's actually listening . That positioning is honestly really compelling.
