I found myself spending way too much time manually checking different sources just to keep up with the news I cared about. So I built a personal agent that scans leading publishers every day, filters for stories I’d find interesting, and gives me a quick summary + a first pass on why this story matters. A bunch of my friends said they’d love something like this for them too, so I scaled it into First Pass (). You can choose from a set of existing topics, or suggest your own, and the agents will find automatically find the best sources and ingest them. the summary plus the "why it matters" line is genuinely a nice touch, saves a lot of clicking. one thing i'd love is a way to see sources side by side for the same story, so i can quickly compare how different outlets are framing the same event.

 Thank you! Saving people from opening five tabs just to understand one story is a big part of what I’m trying to solve. I really like the side-by-side source idea too. Being able to compare how different outlets frame the same event would add a lot of value, will definitely look into that!

Tried it this morning with a few topics and the summaries were actually useful, not just chopped headlines. Like that it tells me why a story matters without me having to click through.
