From New York Stock Exchange Building doors to Cloud and AI Infrastructure

Hello everyone! 👋

I started working on the idea behind FinQ Nexus (https://nexus.harshitgola.com) back in 2020 while studying at NYU in Brooklyn, New York.

I used to walk past the NYSE and often found myself thinking about the sheer scale of information flowing through financial markets every second. It always felt fascinating — but also overwhelming. I kept asking myself: how does anyone actually make sense of all this data in a meaningful way?

Over time, I realized the real gap wasn’t access to financial data — it was the ability to consume and understand it efficiently.

That curiosity slowly turned into my first experiments with data pipelines. I started building systems to collect and structure SEC filings and market data. What began as a small project gradually evolved into something more meaningful — a framework for transforming raw financial data into usable insights.

As I worked on it over the years, I kept expanding the system:

• building robust data ingestion pipelines

• structuring SEC + financial datasets

• experimenting with AI-based summarization and retrieval

• and slowly shaping a product where users could actually interact with financial information instead of just reading it

Eventually, this evolved into FinQ Nexus — an AI-powered financial intelligence platform that turns complex public financial data into clear, actionable insights and reports.

It’s been a long, iterative journey — built day by day, version by version — combining backend infrastructure, data engineering, and AI systems into one unified experience.

FinQ is still early, but the vision is simple:

👉 Make financial research as easy as asking a question.

We’re launching on Product Hunt to start the next phase — learning from users, refining the product, and building something truly useful for anyone who wants to understand markets better.
