FINList - Turn text, voice or scans into a smart shopping list
by•
Type “tacos for four,” speak your list, or scan a recipe. FINList uses AI to create a structured shopping list with groups, quantities and aisle categories, ready to share and check off in shopping mode.

Hi Product Hunt 👋
I built FINList because creating a shopping list should not feel like data entry.
Instead of adding every item one by one, you can type something like “tacos for four,” speak naturally, or scan a recipe. FINList uses AI to turn that input into a structured shopping list with sensible groups, quantities, sharing, and a focused shopping mode.
I also wanted FINList to adapt to the person using it. During setup, you can choose your country, language, preferred units, and whether you are left- or right-handed. The interface and AI-generated results are then adjusted to fit your local context and the way you use your phone while shopping.
The goal is not to build a complicated meal-planning platform. FINList is meant to be a lightweight, flexible tool that helps you go from an idea to a practical, ready-to-use list in seconds, whether you shop alone or share lists with family and friends.
This is an early launch, and I would especially appreciate feedback on:
• How clear the first-use experience feels
• Whether the AI-generated list structure is genuinely useful
• Whether the personal and regional settings improve the shopping experience
• What would make you choose FINList over your current list app
Thanks for checking it out. I’m happy to answer questions and hear what you think, preferably through the contact/feedback function in the app!

The aisle grouping is a really smart touch, saves me so much wandering around the store. One thing that would make it even better for me is letting me set a rough budget for the trip and flagging items that push me over it before I check out, especially helpful when I'm feeding a crowd on a tight week.
