Hey Product Hunt! I'm Håkon, the maker of FeatherPack. I got tired of manually tapping and typing every single piece of gear into traditional packing list apps. It took forever and felt clunky, so eventually I'd just stop bothering to keep my gear list updated at all. FeatherPack is my attempt to actually solve that. Instead of typing anything in, you scan an item and AI recognizes it, automatically logging it under the right category with its weight and product name. That builds your gear inventory as you go. From there, you pick items into a specific pack and get an exact overview of what it'll weigh before you ever leave the house. The whole point was solving a real problem: it's way too time-consuming and fiddly to manually register every piece of gear you own.
