Evcode — Terminal IDE - A blazing fast Rust IDE that stays under 20MB of RAM.

by
Evcode is a terminal-native IDE built in Rust, designed for developers who prioritize speed and efficiency. While modern editors consume massive resources, Evcode maintains a footprint of just 20-30MB of RAM. Its Tokio-based core ensures a non-blocking experience, while Ghost Mode offers instant memory snapshots. With native LSP and SSH support, it provides a zero-config environment for professional engineering. High performance meets pure logic.

Hi everyone! I’m the founder of Eeive Digital. I built Evcode because I was tired of IDEs that feel like heavy browsers. I wanted something that stays out of the way while providing professional-grade features like LSP and Ghost Mode. This Alpha release is a manifestation of my belief that software should be fast by design. Evcode is built on Rust and Tokio to ensure it remains lightweight even under heavy workloads. I’d love to hear your feedback on the TUI experience and performance!
