What one voice entry became in EpicTopia

What does EpicTopia do with a voice entry?

We recorded a short demo about a small win: helping a first-year student understand a paper, sketching diagrams on receipts, and realizing you’ve learned more than you thought.

Mixed into the story were forty minutes of mentoring, a mood score, and a promise to send over some notes.

Here’s what EpicTopia organized from that recording:

  • A journal entry with a title and matching emoji, keeping details like the coffee and the receipt worth saving.

  • Two trackers: Mentoring Duration — 40 min, and Mood — 8/10.

  • Two to-dos: “I promised to send her my notes tomorrow” became a checkbox, alongside a task to photograph the receipt diagrams.

  • Highlights and signals: the emotion, topics, and person mentioned, plus a short reflection on the moment.

  • A new Epic called “Academic Mentoring,” automatically created with this entry added to its timeline, ready for future mentoring moments.

The image pairs excerpts from the demo with actual app screenshots.

When you record a moment like this, what would you most want pulled out: the mood, trackers, or the things you promised to do?
