I've been experimenting with how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity recommend businesses, and something interesting keeps coming up.
Businesses that rank well on Google don't necessarily appear when someone asks AI for recommendations. Sometimes AI recommends competitors instead. Other times, it doesn't mention the business at all.
