Elysium - Own your productivity. Readable open format. AI optional.

Your schedule shouldn't live in someone else's database. Elysium stores everything locally in OpenTime — an open YAML format any tool can read. Bring your own AI (Claude, ChatGPT) or use ours, only if you want it. Tasks, goals, habits, reminders, appointments events, and projects — all in files you control. macOS and iOS - Windows/Linux/Android coming soon.

Hey everyone 👋 I’m Ryan, creator of Elysium. I didn’t build this because I needed another productivity app.I built it because I was tired of juggling five of them. Tasks in one place. Calendar in another.Goals… somewhere else. Nothing connected. At some point, I realized I wasn’t managing my life—I was managing my tools. I needed everything to live in one system. Goals needed to be broken into actionable steps. Tasks needed to be tied to real time on a calendar and tracked by work time. Habits needed to be part of the same flow as my other schedule types. And yes, I wanted AI to help me plan and juggle a complicated schedule instead. What Elysium is Elysium is a unified system for planning your life, not just your tasks. It combines: Goals, tasks, habits, reminders, events, appointments and projects by nesting any of those in the way that fits your workflow. Flexible structure (no rigid system forced on you). AI-assisted planning. Local-first, user-owned data. Why it matters: Most tools solve one piece of productivity. Elysium is built around how things actually connect. Would love your feedback! This started as a tool for myself, but it has now expanded beyond just my specific use case into tools anyone can use. If you’ve ever felt like your productivity system is fragmented, I’d love to hear how you’re solving it (or where it breaks). Thanks for checking it out!
