Eclipse - The PDF reader iOS should have built

by
iOS doesn't have dark mode for PDFs. Eclipse fixes that. Open any PDF and instantly switch to a true dark reading mode — pure OLED black, warm dark, or sepia. No more blinding white screens at 2 AM. • One-tap dark mode with 3 eye-friendly themes • Draw, highlight & annotate directly on your PDFs • Bookmark pages and pick up where you left off • 100% private — your files never leave your device Minimal, fast, and designed for people who actually read.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Eclipse because of a simple frustration: I read PDFs every night, and iOS still doesn't offer dark mode for its built-in PDF viewer. Every time I opened a document at night, I got blasted by a white screen. There are other PDF apps out there — some with dozens of features I'll never use. I wanted something different: a reader that does one thing really well. Open a PDF, tap the moon button, and read comfortably in the dark. That's it. What makes Eclipse different: → One-tap dark mode with 3 themes (Pure Dark, Warm Dark, Sepia) → Draw and annotate directly on PDFs → Bookmark pages with custom titles → Everything stays on your device — zero data collection This is my first app, and I've focused on keeping it clean and simple rather than stuffing it with features. I'd love for you to try it and tell me what you think. What PDF frustrations do you deal with? I'm here all day to chat. 🌙
