Why I built a tracker that refuses to sell you mutual funds

I had SIPs scattered across a dozen funds and folios, and every app could tell me my XIRR — but not one could answer the thing I actually cared about: am I on track for the goals I'm investing for? The house. Retirement. My kid's education.

When I dug in, the reason was structural: almost every "free" tracker in India is really a fund distributor. They show you your portfolio so they can sell you the next SIP.

So I built Earmark — a goal-based tracker that makes money from you, not from pushing funds, so its only job is to tell you the truth.
