How a lake house and a frustrated 11-year-old turned into an app

by

We co-own a lake house with two other families. It's one of our favorite things in the world and also, for a while, one of our biggest headaches.

Double bookings. Group texts that spiraled into nothing. Showing up to find the fridge empty. Maintenance issues that fell through the cracks because nobody remembered who was handling it.

Our son Harris watched all of it. He was 11. He decided to fix it and built the first version of Dwelly.

It worked well enough for our three families that we thought others might be dealing with the same thing. Turns out, a lot of people are.

We're launching Wednesday. Would love to know: does any of this sound familiar to you?
