I used to write down todos in an app, close it, and instantly forget they existed. I realized the problem was never the app itself — it's that your tasks disappear the moment you close it. And unlocking your phone, finding the app, opening it, and checking a box every single time is just too much friction.

recurring tasks auto reappearing on the island instead of me retyping them every morning would get me hooked
