We built dolv's frontend on Val Town, here is what that actually looks like in production
One question we get from builders: what is the actual stack underneath dolv?
The short version: the frontend runs on Val Town. The marketing site runs on Astro. The integrations cover Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 natively with single OAuth consent screens.
Val Town was the right call for us. It lets us move fast, iterate on individual functions, and keep things observable. The trade-offs are real, there are things you cannot do as easily as on a traditional deployment, but for a team that needs to ship and learn quickly, it fits.
For builders thinking about GTM tools or AI products: the stack choice matters less than the execution model. We spent more time on the approval gate, the trace logging, and the integration write-access than on the framework. Those are the decisions that define the product.
Happy to go deep on any part of it.
